THIS WILL BE THE YEAR
Toast to me, hold up my glass, to all mistakes I've made. Good intentions washed away, as soon as spring time came. I danced a summer, fell an autumn, another candle blown. Now winter's come around again, and back where I began. And even though you heard it all, I know you don't believe. Let me keep the last thing left for me. This will be the year, the year
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricenter.com/e59070-susan_boyle~this_will_be_the_year_lyrics.html ] The year I learn to take some time, to stop and breathe it in. To keep a promise to myself, to finish what I begin. Bad habits stop, no more regrets, a step out of the red. Open arms and an open heart to all that lies ahead. And even though you've heard it all, and I know you don't believe, Let me keep the last thing left for me. This will be the year, the year.
My faith carries me, I'll keep holding on. And I will (?) to find me, what I've been doing wrong. I know you don't believe, but just for me, can't you pretend? That you'll never ever hear me say these words again.
I know this time I won't be late, this time I will arrive. Save my tears, save my doubts, this time I will try. I know I can be better, I promise I'll be strong. I'll make (?) where I had been, seeing all alone. I know you've heard it all before, and I know you don't believe, But let me keep the last thing left for me. This will be the year, the year.
RETURN
Return, Return to me
Don’t leave me here
With nothing but the feeling of falling
Return
Return to me
A memory
Can hold me in his arms in the morning
You know with all that I’ ve enjoyed
You were my strength and more
Knowing your gone
But I pray for your return
Return to me
Don’t let me be
Alone without the hope that your love brings
I know the world sees what it wants to see
But only you knew me I sing to you and the memories
Return
Return to me
Don’t let anyone anything come between us
Return
Just promise me
That Forever
It follows everything I do
Forever if ever I should break in two Forever
I will wait till you
Return Return.
"Lilac Wine" is a song written by James Shelton (words and music) in 1950 Lilac Wine- I lost myself on a cool damp night I gave myself in that misty light Was hypnotized by a strange delight Under a lilac tree
I made wine from the lilac tree Put my heart in its recipe It makes me see what I want to see And be what I want to be
When I think more than I want to think Do things I never should do I drink much more that I ought to drink Because it brings me back you
Lilac wine is sweet and heady, Like my love Lilac wine, I feel unsteady, Like my love
Listen to me, I cannot see clearly Isn't that she, coming to me Nearly here
Lilac wine is sweet and heady, Where's my love Lilac wine, I feel unsteady, Where's my love
Listen to me, why is everything so hazy Isn't that she, or am I just going crazy, dear
Lilac wine, I feel unready for my love Feel unready, for my love.
"Autumn" Paolo Nutini written for his grandfather who had passed....
Autumn leaves under frozen souls, Hungry hands turning soft and old, My hero cried as we stood out there in the cold, Like these autumn leaves I don't have nothing to hold.
Handsome smile, wearing handsome shoes, Too young to say, though I swear he knew, And I hear him singing while he sits there in his chair, While these autumn leaves float around everywhere.
And I look at you, and I see me, Making noise so restlessly, But now it's quiet and I can hear you sing, 'My little fish don't cry, my little fish don't cry.'
Autumn leaves have faded now, That smile I lost, well I've found somehow, Because you still live on in my father's eyes, These autumn leaves, all these autumn leave, all these autumn leaves are yours tonight.
Mmmmmmm....
Originally it was a 1945 French song "Les Feuilles mortes" (literally "The Dead Leaves") with music by Joseph Kosma and lyrics by poet Jacques Prévert. Yves Montand (with Irène Joachim) introduced "Les feuilles mortes" in 1946 in the film Les Portes de la Nuit.[1] The American songwriter Johnny Mercer wrote English lyrics in 1947 and Jo Stafford was among the first to perform this version. Autumn Leaves became a pop standard and a jazz standard in both languages and both as an instrumental and with a singer.
AUTUMN LEAVES The falling leaves Drift by the window The autumn leaves All red and gold I see your lips The summer kisses The sunburned hands I used to hold. Since you went away The days grow long... And soon I'll hear Old winter songs But I miss you most of all My darling, when autumn leaves start to fall... Since you went away The days grow long... And soon I'll hear Old winter songs But I miss you most of all My darling, when autumn leaves start to fall...
It is one of Joni Mitchell's best-known songs . It was written in March 1967
Both Sides Now Rows and flows of angel hair, and ice cream castles in the air, and feathered canyons everywhere, I've looked at clouds that way, but now they only block the sun. They rain and snow on everyone. So many things I would have done, but clouds got in my way.
I've looked at clouds from both sides now, from up and down, and still somehow, it's clouds illusions I recal. I really don't know clouds...at all.
Moons and Junes and ferris wheels, the dizzy dancing way you feel as every fairy tale comes real; I've looked at love that way. But now it's just another show. You leave 'em laughing when you go and if you care, don't let them know, don't give yourself away.
I've looked at love from both sides now, from give and take, and still somehow it's love's illusions I recall. I really don't know love at all.
Tears and fears and feeling proud, to say "I love you" right out loud, dreams and schemes and circus crowds, I've looked at life that way. But now old friends are acting strange, they shake their heads, they say I've changed. Something's lost but something's gained in living every day.
I've looked at life from both sides now, from win and lose, and still somehow it's life's illusions I recall. I really don't know life at all.
You Have To Be There : You have banished me From the land where I was born Here upon a foreign shore forsaken I have followed you And gone thy way Should I kneel to you When I rise you strike me down Once again a little one you've taken Everywhere I turn it's darker still
What is it Lord that you want And that I am not seeing? What in my innocent prayers Am I failing to say? Never before have I questioned the truth of your being Never once have I dared Never until today
All of a tremble I stand on the edge of confusion Who is to save me If into the darkness I fall? Now that I need more than ever my Lord to be near me Do you hear when I call? Are you there after all?
You have to be there, you have to My life I have placed in thy keep And without you I am drifting on a dark and rising sea You have to be there, you have to Without you I'd drown in the deep Too far, too far from land The waters drag me down I reach for your hand
Who when I die will throw open his arms to receive me? Who will believe me and take me into his embrace? And when I go to my rest, who will watch me and wake me? When my time comes at last, will you grant me your grace? I am so small of this Earth, I am nothing without you Daring to doubt you at all turns a knife in my heart Little by little I'm losing my way in the shadows I am losing my home and the world fall apart
You do have to be there, you have to My life I have placed in thy keep And without you I am drifting on a dark and rising sea You have to be there, you have to Without you I'd drown in the deep Too far, too far from land The waters drag me down I reach for your hand
And without you I am drifting on a dark and rising sea You have to be there, you have to Without you I'd drown in the deep Too far, too far from land The waters drag me down I reach for your hand

ENJOY THE SILENCE- DEPECHE MODE Words like violence Break the silence Come crashing in Into my little world Painful to me Pierce right through me Can't you understand Oh my little girl
All I ever wanted All I ever needed Is here in my arms Words are very unnecessary They can only do harm
Vows are spoken To be broken Feelings are intense Words are trivial Pleasures remain So does the pain Words are meaningless And forgettable
All I ever wanted All I ever needed Is here in my arms Words are very unnecessary They can only do harm
All I ever wanted All I ever needed Is here in my arms Words are very unnecessary They can only do harm
All I ever wanted All I ever needed Is here in my arms Words are very unnecessary They can only do harm
Unchained Melody" is a 1955 song with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret. Oh, oh my love Oh my darling I've hungered for your touch A long and lonely time
And time goes by So slowly And time can do so much Are you still mine? Oh, ho
I need your love I need your love I need your love Godspeed your love to me
Lonely rivers flow To the sea, to the sea To the open arms of the sea
Lonely rivers sigh Wait for me, wait for me I'll be coming home Wait for me
Oh, oh my love Oh my darling I've hungered for your touch A long and lonely time
And time goes by So slowly And time can do so much Are you still mine?
I need your love I need your love (oh yeah) I need your love Godspeed your love to me It to me Godspeed your love to me
I need your love I need your love I need your love I, need, your, love
I need your love I need your love I need your love I, need, your, love
I need your love I need your love I need your love I, need, your, love
I need your love
"Someone to Watch Over Me" is a song composed by George Gershwin with lyrics by Ira Gershwin from the musical Oh, Kay! (1926), There’s a saying old, says that love is blind Still we’re often told, "seek and ye shall find" So I’m going to seek a certain lad I’ve had in mind
Looking everywhere, haven’t found him yet He’s the big affair I cannot forget Only man I ever think of with regret
I’d like to add his initial to my monogram Tell me, where is the shepherd for this lost lamb?
There’s a somebody I’m longin’ to see I hope that he, turns out to be Someone who’ll watch over me
I’m a little lamb who’s lost in the wood I know I could, always be good To one who’ll watch over me
Although he may not be the man some Girls think of as handsome To my heart he carries the key
Won’t you tell him please to put on some speed Follow my lead, oh, how I need Someone to watch over me
Won’t you tell him please to put on some speed Follow my lead, oh, how I need Someone to watch over me
Someone to watch over me
